Description De Pere Cabinet is hiring a Maintenance Technician for 2nd Shift in De Pere, Wisconsin. The Maintenance Technician reporting to the Maintenance Manager provides support to the facility by performing all necessary maintenance-related functions safely. Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining equipment and company assets. The company continues to market with strategies that are unique and beneficial to the customer in the cabinetry industry. Job Responsibilities:
  • Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks on time and monitor results.
  • Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and determine parts and repairs needed.
  • Communicate all problems, repairs, solutions, and recommendations to the Maintenance Manager, Supervisors, Coordinators, and affected employees.
  • Perform mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting.
  • Install and align new equipment or move old equipment when needed.
  • Work as a team with other Maintenance Technicians to accomplish the workload.
  • Look up components and parts in electrical/mechanical manuals.
  • Maintain and improve knowledge of equipment and machinery.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
Job Requirements:
  • Required to have 3-5 years of previous experience in plant maintenance or machine repair; pneumatic, electrical, mechanical, or industrial skills
  • Associate degree or Valid Journeyman card as a Maintenance Mechanic preferred
  • Advanced knowledge of electronic components, PLC controls, ACDC drives and motors, servo drives and motors, and sensors preferred
  • Have a self-motivated, proactive, and positive Can Do attitude
  • Basic computer skills, Email, and CMMS software
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to read a tape measure preferred
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and works with a sense of urgency
  • Must be able to work additional hours as needed
In this role, the employee is consistently required to use their hands and fingers to handle tools and objects while moving throughout the plant from machine to machine. The job involves frequent overhead lifting, pushing, pulling, grabbing, reaching, and bending, as well as crawling, kneeling, and stooping. Employees must regularly lift, move, and manipulate items weighing up to 40 pounds, with frequent handling of weights between 50 to 75 pounds and occasional lifting of up to 120 pounds. Specific vision abilities necessary for this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the capacity to adjust focus. The work is primarily conducted indoors, though employees may encounter varying conditions, including humidity, heat, and cold. The environment is typically loud, and there is frequent exposure to solvent fumes and airborne particles. Additionally, tasks are often performed near or on moving machinery, requiring heightened awareness and caution.
