Your role will involve providing preventative and repair maintenance, installing new equipment, and supporting process improvements as directed by the Manager, Maintenance.Major Functions:1. Safety A. Optimize safety and minimize risk. B. Follow Lock Out/Tag Out procedures. C. Wear required PPE. D. Adhere to safety precautions related to: 1. Heavy lifting 2. Handling gases (Hydrogen, Nitrogen, Argon, etc.) 3. Working at high heights 4. High electrical voltage 2. Technical Knowledge A. Read and understand: 1. Electrical/hydraulic schematics 2. PLC 3. Blueprints 4. Machine manuals 5. General operation of equipment 6. OSHA, state, and township codes B. Baseline knowledge in: 1. Electrical systems 2. Hydraulics 3. Pneumatics 4. Vacuum systems 5. HVAC 6. Plumbing 7. Carpentry 8. Welding 3. Preventative Maintenance A. Service machinery and buildings to minimize the effects of aging. B. Maintain preventative maintenance logs. 4. Repair Maintenance A. Troubleshoot equipment breakdowns and problem-solve to restore service. B. Coordinate with operators and outside vendors as needed. C. Request reorders for consumables and spare parts. 5. New Equipment and Modifications A. Fabricate, install, or move new equipment. B. Calculate and layout mechanical parts. C. Design electrical controls. D. Validate operation and train operators. 6. Process Improvement and Engineering Support A. Support process improvement and engineering projects as directed. 7. Work Area Maintenance A. Keep work areas neat, clean, and orderly. 8.. On-Call Duty A. Participate in on-call duty as required. Mandatory Role Requirements:1. Knowledge/Education/Certification A. Requires a high school diploma, plus specialized training, certification, or a two-year degree or equivalent. 2. Experience A. Requires two to five years of experience. 3. Role Complexity A. Routine and diversified activities with a solid understanding of specific facts/processes, operating within accepted practice limits. 4. Foresight/Planning A. Average level of creative idea generation and planning for goal setting, process facilitation, and task organization. 5Responsibility for Accuracy A. Mistakes may affect operations or production and could result in moderate to significant financial loss. 6. Decision Making A. Influences costs and processes, with some responsibility for minor operational decisions and advising mid-management. 7. Contacts with Others/Communications A. Requires frequent verbal and regular written communication with other departments and the supervisor. 8. Supervision Received A. Work done independently and assigned by the supervisor, with some responsibility for finding and correcting errors. 9. Responsibility for Company Assets A. Average responsibility for equipment used, may handle small amounts of petty cash or cost reduction. 10. Tools, Machines, and Equipment Used A. Requires average proficiency with various tools and technical systems, including Outlook, databases, and Paradigm or Docstar. 11. Responsibility for Equipment and Work Area A. Machine setup, general maintenance, and occasional repair necessary, with a risk of significant damage if not handled properly. 12. Responsibility for Confidentiality A. Little to no responsibility for company security or confidentiality beyond general employee requirements. 13. Hazards and Working Conditions A. High to very high potential for injury or health damage, including risk of loss of limb or long-term disability. 14. Mental and Physical Demands A. Requires sustained physical exertion with tools or heavy materials, several motions in a moderate cycle, and quick decision-making on diverse operations. Accountability of Employees A. Use your best efforts and full capability to achieve the outputs assigned. B. Inform your manager promptly when circumstances make it likely that outputs cannot be achieved or that more could be done, allowing for adaptive action to be taken. C.
