Job Description:

POSITION OBJECTIVE:Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production and building equipment while followingTruvant's approved production and quality documentationESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs production machinery.Maintains and repairs building equipment and physical structures, including electrical systems.Assist Operators in startups of production machinery.Use hand tools, power tools, welders, hoists, forklifts, and measuring and testing instruments to repair or fabricate components for repairs, modifications, or installations.Perform preventative maintenance on machinery and equipmentVisually inspects and tests machinery and equipment, use electrical and electronic test equipment. Must submit documentation for inventory used, assigned tasks, and PMs completed. Other duties as assigned.RequirementsEDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:Associates degree in an appropriate technical field of study.Minimum three years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.On the job training providedSKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & ABILITIES:Knowledge gained through on the job training of company products, policies, and proceduresAbility to pay close attention to detailSkill in operating various equipment as needed to perform the jobSkill in reading and understanding blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings Some knowledge and understanding of basic PLC programing logic. Must possess good written and verbal communication skills Skill in multitasking and time management and self-motivation.Understanding of and experience with 110-208-480-volt single phase and 3 phase electrical systems. Ability to troubleshoot and repair standard mechanical, electrical, pneumatic components and detect minor equipment problems and correct them before they become major issues. Ability to function cooperatively and effectively in a team environment with peers and personnel in other departmentsAbility to keep company and customer information that is discussed or viewed while under employment with Truvant confidentialAbility to adhere to all regulatory and company policies, procedures, work instructions including but not limited to: Truvant policies, customer specific policies, ISO, GMP's, USDA, regulatory food safety and food defensePHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to read documents, printouts, computer screens and other communicationMust be able to hear well enough to communicate with co-workersMust be able to reach, touch, graspMust be able to stand and/or walk for prolonged periods of timeMust be able to climb, stoop/kneel, lift, pull and pushMust be able to conduct yourself in a safe manner to avoid accidents while on the production floorMust be able to work in various environments based on building location and products Level of Physical Requirements: Sedentary to medium work level; lifting and positioning weight loads up to 75 poundsTRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:0-25% - Travel may be required to support business needs
