In this role, you have a large impact on keeping our production machines and related equipment up and running smoothly. This position is on 3rd shift. Below is a listing of projects that you will be working on:Typical Duties:
- Inspect, troubleshoot and diagnose equipment failures and root causes.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on all production equipment including injection molding machines, die cast machines, stamping presses, automated paint lines and robots.
- Complete repairs assigned that are typically of a complex nature and require a high degree of skill.
- Troubleshoot PLC programming.
- Modify computer-controlled motion of robot (DENSO, Yamaha).
- Install and move new and used equipment.
- Visually inspect and listen to machines and equipment to locate causes of malfunctions.
- Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem area.
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems.
- Remove and replace worn or defective parts of drive mechanism.
- Realigns and adjusts components such as spindles and clutches.
- Locates damaged air lines on machine; measure and install new lines.
- Starts machines and equipment to test operation following repair.
- Repairs broken parts.
- Fabricate tools and fixtures for new and used equipment.
- Sets up and operates metalworking tools such as mill, lathe, drill press, or grinder to make or repair parts.
- Assists Production Engineer(s) to modify sketches or computer-generated designs of machine components, such as, hydraulic system and drive mechanism.
- Cleans work area, machines, tools, and equipment.
Preferred Skills / Experience:
- 3+ years prior maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting
- Solid Mechanical, electronic, electrical, electro-mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic aptitude
- PLC knowledge
- Ability to run mills, lathes, grinders
- Ability to read electrical schematics
