Schedule: Monday - Thursday 5:30am - 4:00pmPosition OverviewPerforms a variety of mechanical duties to adjust, trouble shoot, repair, maintain, install, and rebuild special purpose industrial machinery and support equipment under the guidance of experienced technicians. This position may also require travel to other GSP facilities.Responsibilities:
  • Performs necessary repairs and adjustments to systems and components to ensure the proper operation of production machinery and equipment under direct supervision.
  • Analyzes, diagnoses, and trouble shoots problems, determines the root cause, and makes repairs under direct supervision and performs scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment as assigned.
  • Experience with CNC troubleshooting, mild programming, and schematic navigation. This applies to, but not limited to Mazak, HAAS, Robert E Morse, amongst others.
  • Operates drill presses, lathes, milling machines, sheet metal breaks, shears, and other equipment used in fabrication or modification of machine parts and guarding under direct supervision.
  • Ability to read mechanical drawings and schematics in accordance with standard practices, reads and interprets hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical schematics and drawings.
  • Works with experienced technicians to determine root cause and corrective actions.
  • Follows all safety rules, practices, and established company guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager which may include handling hazardous materials if trained to do so.

RequirementsRequirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred and 3-5 years of experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use all required measurement and inspection equipment.
  • Service oriented with strong communication skills.
  • Demonstrate strong customer service skills and establish, maintain, and foster positive and effective working relationships.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
