DescriptionCar Wash TechnicianPosition OverviewThe Car Wash Technician is responsible for maintaining and ensuring the operational efficiency of car wash equipment and systems within the ConRAC facility. Reporting to the Facility Manager, this role requires a highly skilled professional to perform preventative maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure seamless operations while fostering positive relationships with internal teams, vendors, and rental car company employees.Reports To: Facility ManagerCompensation:
- Hourly Rate: $25.00 - $28.00, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications and Competencies
- 2-3 years of verifiable carwash experience
- Proven electrical experience, including working with low and high voltage (3 Phase).
- Proficiency in using voltage and TDS meters and similar diagnostic tools.
- Plumbing experience, with the ability to read and understand electrical and plumbing blueprints.
- Knowledge of salt, reverse osmosis, and reclaim systems, where applicable.
- Strong understanding of safety management principles and relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
- Ability to develop cost estimates for supplies and equipment and recommend system improvements.
- Physical capability to work in varying indoor/outdoor conditions, including exposure to noise, dust, grease, extreme temperatures, and weather.
- Sufficient physical strength and mobility to perform tasks that involve stooping, bending, kneeling, crawling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive hand movements.
- Ability to train other employees on car wash systems and operations.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.
- Professional demeanor with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesMaintenance and Operations
- Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, and perform preventative maintenance and repairs for car wash equipment according to manufacturer guidelines and the facility maintenance program.
- Conduct routine inspections to ensure car washes remain operational and visually appealing.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules and safety inspection programs for all equipment.
- Supervise and assist with complex repairs and troubleshoot technical issues with car wash systems.
- Perform cleaning tasks to maintain the appearance and functionality of the car wash facility.
Resource Management
- Monitor and control inventory for supplies and tools; order as needed and ensure procurement aligns with budgetary guidelines.
- Prepare specifications and oversee vendor contracts and services for car wash systems.
- Assist in preparing the facility maintenance budget by providing cost estimates, tracking expenditures, and submitting recommendations for necessary equipment and resources.
Compliance and Safety
- Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal safety regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Serve as the subject matter expert on safety practices for car wash systems and conduct training sessions for team members.
- Investigate complaints, recommend corrective action, and maintain positive relationships with rental car employees.
- Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance schedules to ensure regulatory compliance.
Leadership and Development
- Oversee the training of employees in car wash operations, emphasizing safety methods, procedures, and techniques.
- Stay informed of new trends and developments in car wash maintenance technology and incorporate them into operational practices.
- Attend professional training sessions to remain up to date on industry standards.
Collaboration
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery.
- Work closely with the Facility Manager to ensure all car wash operations align with client and organizational expectations.
- Act as a liaison between MVI, vendors, and rental car company representatives, maintaining a professional and collaborative relationship.
