Job Description:
Job Description: Responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and upkeep of computer numerical control (CNC) machines in a manufacturing facility. The primary responsibilities of the job include:
  • Performing regular maintenance on CNC machines: This involves inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machines to ensure they operate efficiently and accurately.
  • Diagnosing and repairing machine problems: The technician is responsible for identifying and troubleshooting issues with CNC machines, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and software-related problems.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance: The technician should schedule and perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent machine downtime and minimize repair costs.
  • Keeping records of machine maintenance: This includes documenting maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts used to maintain an accurate maintenance history.
  • Ordering and stocking machine parts: The technician should ensure that necessary parts are ordered and stocked to minimize machine downtime.
  • Collaborating with machine operators and other CNC setup personnel: The technician should work with other CNC Setup personnel to troubleshoot and solve machine issues and communicate with machine operators to identify potential problems.
  • Troubleshooting and Upkeep of forklift and overhead crane.
  • Adhering to safety standards: The technician should follow established safety procedures, LOTO and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • RequirementsRequirements and Qualifications:
    • Associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field.
    • Experience in maintenance and repair of CNC Lathe, Mill, Grinders, Hydraulic Broach, Saw machines, Overhead crane, Forklift and miscellaneous equipment.
    • Familiarity with various CNC software interfaces, such as FANUC and SIEMENS
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
    • Must be able to commute to 23 Mile and Schoenherr - Shelny Township, Michigan
    • Own Toolbox is a huge plus.
