Job Description: Responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and upkeep of computer numerical control (CNC) machines in a manufacturing facility. The primary responsibilities of the job include:
Performing regular maintenance on CNC machines: This involves inspecting, cleaning, lubricating, and adjusting machines to ensure they operate efficiently and accurately. Diagnosing and repairing machine problems: The technician is responsible for identifying and troubleshooting issues with CNC machines, including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and software-related problems. Conducting preventive maintenance: The technician should schedule and perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent machine downtime and minimize repair costs. Keeping records of machine maintenance: This includes documenting maintenance schedules, repairs, and parts used to maintain an accurate maintenance history. Ordering and stocking machine parts: The technician should ensure that necessary parts are ordered and stocked to minimize machine downtime. Collaborating with machine operators and other CNC setup personnel: The technician should work with other CNC Setup personnel to troubleshoot and solve machine issues and communicate with machine operators to identify potential problems. Troubleshooting and Upkeep of forklift and overhead crane. Adhering to safety standards: The technician should follow established safety procedures, LOTO and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. RequirementsRequirements and Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or technical certification in mechanical or electrical engineering, or related field.
- Experience in maintenance and repair of CNC Lathe, Mill, Grinders, Hydraulic Broach, Saw machines, Overhead crane, Forklift and miscellaneous equipment.
- Familiarity with various CNC software interfaces, such as FANUC and SIEMENS
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and protocols.
- Must be able to commute to 23 Mile and Schoenherr - Shelny Township, Michigan
- Own Toolbox is a huge plus.
