Overview:
The Maintenance Technician Laundry is responsible for servicing/repairing and maintaining the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems as well as the physical features of the laundry equipment while maintaining a safe and friendly environment. Provide general maintenance and repairs of laundry vehicles.
$22/hour!
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION
- High school diploma or equivalent combination of education and work experience
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Preventative Maintenance Tech or similar skilled trade
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
- Proficient skills in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools and a mechanical aptitude.
- Strong knowledge of pumps, electric motors, electrical circuits, mechanical drive systems, gas and steam operated systems and belt drive equipment.
- Must meet the requirements to receive a company driving permit.
- Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow written instructions.
Essential Functions:

- Efficiently, accurately, and courteously complete service calls as assigned, contacting laundry attendant within 5 minutes of request.
- Complete all assigned work orders daily.
- Change light bulbs and ballasts as soon as reported or noticed.
- Maintain boilers and pumps daily.
- Clean up surrounding area upon completion of maintenance.
- Accurately fill out a daily Engineering report.
- Efficiently replace air filters on AC units on a regular basis.
- Perform preventive maintenance on laundry equipment per standard checklist or as requested by the Director of Laundry; maintain all maintenance records.
- Repair and maintain laundry carts.
- Efficiently operate small hand tools such as drills, grinders, saws, etc.
- Use safety equipment such as goggles, aprons, gloves, respirators, or dust mask.
- Efficiently and safely operate machinery such as drills, grinders, Sawzall, welding machine and band saw.
- Learn and develop in position to gain additional skills for keeping equipment in good repair.
- Understand and apply basic electricity, plumbing and carpentry to efficiently repair laundry equipment.
- Accurately and efficiently handle test equipment, hand tools, etc.
- Order & Maintain inventory of commonly needed parts.
- Drive laundry truck when needed.
