For us, working here is more than just a job; it's a passion.Position Summary:The Maintenance Technician is responsible for safe, quality, and timely electrical repair and preventive maintenance of various types of industrial equipment, including but not limited to CNC machines, CMM machines, paint booth equipment, Tomograph equipment, UT equipment, and automated sandblaster equipment. The Maintenance Technician must work well both with others and independently to minimize downtime on production equipment in a fast-paced environment.This is a second shift position, Monday - Thursday, 3:15pm - 1:15am, and includes a 10% shift differential.Complementary DescriptionPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Functions)1. *Perform emergency and routine repairs and preventive maintenance of a, generally, electrical nature to maintain manufacturing and facility equipment and minimize unplanned downtime.2. *Install and modify process electrical systems (conductors, circuit protection devices, outlets, enclosures, controls, and other electrical components) to code and engineering specifications.3. *Perform electrical diagnostics involving complex machines, PLC's, and HMI's using specialized tools like voltmeters, cable testers, thermal scanners, and ammeters.4. *Perform project work and other improvement activities, including equipment installation and modification, in coordination with stakeholders on other teams (Production, Engineering, Quality, etc.).5. *Comply and maintain certifications, where applicable, with all regulations (OSHA, NFPA), industry standards, engineering specifications, and company policies/procedures.6. Use calibration equipment to validate tool and machine conformance to standards.7. Conduct, facilitate and support ISO 230 inspections.8. Perform other duties as assigned.Job RequirementsJob Specifications1. High school diploma or equivalent.2. Strong industrial electrical knowledge and moderate mechanical aptitude with 6+ years of relatable experience preferred, primarily in a manufacturing setting.3. Advanced PLC knowledge, Siemens step 7 300 preferred.4. Understanding of servo systems and NC style equipment preferred.5. Experience with CNC machine maintenance preferred.6. Ability to interpret electrical and other equipment schematics and use hand-held measuring equipment.7. Strong computer background to be able to assist OEM's in online machine diagnostics.8. Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.Working Conditions1. Lighting and temperature are adequate; outside work can be required.2. Walking or standing over 50% of the time; frequently required to reach with hands and arms; frequently required to use hands to finger, handle and feel; required to see, talk and hear.3. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds, approximately 20% of a standard work day; may be required to lift in excess of 35 pounds with assistance.4. Eye protection must be worn in manufacturing areas, approximately 90% of a standard workday.5. Ear protection must be worn during certain operations, approximately 10% of a standard workday.6.
