Maintenance TechnicianSeeking an energetic Maintenance Technician with a broad skillset for full-time permanent employment. The position is primarily 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Occasional overtime will be required if a machine fails or workload increases. Pay range will be $18-$30/hour based on skills and experience of the applicant. This position will report to the Engineering Manager.Some of the assigned duties will be: Installs, maintains and repairs machinery, equipment and other manufacturing related devices, fixtures, etc.Support Production and coordinate repairs around production schedule when possible.Process work orders submitted by plant employees and document work on order.Installs, maintains and repairs electrical systems, and electronic components of industrial equipment.Eliminate machine downtime, waste, unnecessary repairs and reoccurring problems through P.M. and risk management activities.Locate and fabricate spare parts and supplies as needed.Promote and ensure that safety, procedures and work instructions are maintained and followed.Make prudent use of company supplies and equipment. Help maintain spares inventory.Follow company work rules, policies and procedures.Promote and maintain a clean work environment consistent with 5S practices. Preferred skills: PLC and AC/DC motor controllers experience necessary. Experience with Allen Bradley PLC's and Control Techniques Motor Drives is a plus.Strong electrical skills for troubleshooting, repairing, wiring, and modifying high and low voltage systems on machines.Strong mechanical background for machine maintenance.Machining using mill, lathe, band saw, etc.Metal fabrication including welding, brazing, and soldering.Plumbing, hydraulics, fluid power.Pump maintenance and repair (diaphragm pumps mostly).Building roof, grounds maintenance and repair as needed.The applicant needs to have a positive open attitude and professional behavior. Required Skills: Strong electrical and mechanical skills.Desire for improved results including cost savings, equipment uptimes, and productivity results.Desire to perform, troubleshoot, and make decisions with minimal supervision.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and mechanical drawings. Minimum Requirements Needed: High school diploma.Driver's License.Two to three years maintenance experience to include strong mechanical and electrical skills.Two years Fork Truck/Tow motor skills required.Must be able to work in small spaces and must be able to pick up 50 pounds on occasion.Must be available to work overtime when needed.
