Maintenance Technician - Hiring Event What you'll doAs a member of the Maintenance team, you will be responsible for repairsand preventative maintenance on Distribution Center equipment and thebuilding. This role will Utilize Computerized Maintenance ManagementSystem (CMMS) to perform work (e.g., record work history, identify partsusage, identify warranties) in a timely and effective manner. Jobs Include: Maintenance Technician Multi Skilled TechnicianYour attention to detail and focus on safety will be critical in these roles. Duties and Responsibilities Maintenance Operations Maintains, repairs, and conducts preventative maintenance on materialhandling and building equipment in safe and efficient manner. Utilizes established PM and repair policies and procedures to returnequipment to fully operational status Read and understand technical drawings (e.g., blueprints,electronic/mechanical schematics) to repair/maintain equipment. Troubleshoot complex problems with equipment where the repair is notimmediately visible or obvious. Work as a team member with operations and other technicians tosupport the facility in the repair and maintenance of equipment. Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) tounderstand workload and record actions (e.g., workorders, asset/laborhistory, inventory usage) Communicate with (or to) individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing(e.g., customers, suppliers, associates). Operate material handling equipment, battery equipment, movingmachinery, and other powered equipment. Daily perform preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment (e.g.,lift trucks, pneumatic systems, material handling equipment, hydraulicequipment, dock equipment, banana room equipment, electronic andelectrical equipment, etc.) according to procedures.#supplychainjobs Minimum QualificationsMaintenance technician positions will require specific qualifications to bemet in order to compete for this position. Minimum requirement examples are:o Coursework or certification in electronic technology and 2 yearsindustrial maintenance experience specializing in electronictechnology (e.g. troubleshooting and repairing automatedequipment) OR 3 years industrial maintenance experiencespecializing in electronic technology (e.g. troubleshooting andrepairing automated equipment).o Must complete the Ramsay Maintenance Abilities Test (*offeredon site at Lancaster, TX hiring event*)About WalmartAt Walmart, we help people save money so they can live better.
