- The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for conducting preventive and repair maintenance on the plant as well as equipment.
Job Duties:
- Conducts preventive maintenance as scheduled, e.g. oil change, greasing, filters, chain tension, etc.
- Performs repairs on machines and equipment as assigned, i.e. replacing blades, switches, etc.
- Performs basic electrical, electronic, plumbing, and hydraulic repairs.
- Shovels snow and operates skid loader for snow removal.
- Performs ground work as needed.
- Assists with installation of new equipment.
- Welds and cuts using wire feed, oxygen-acetylene torch as well as plasma.
- Maintains the work area, machinery, and tools in a neat, clean, safe and orderly fashion.
- Always adheres to safety standards.
- Provides tools as required on tool listing.
- Maintains forklift certification and valid MN Driver's License.
- Makes repairs at apartments and fitness center.
- Maintains all documentation by computer related to this position, i.e. time cards, work orders, etc.
