And we want individuals that take that seriously.High School Diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years of related experience Ability to operate multiple machines safely with minimal supervision and obtain necessary production specificationsProficient communication and problem-solving skills to pass on information to co-workers and to relay information to and from all employee levels including managementCandidates receiving offers of employment will be required to complete a post-offer, pre-placement background check and drug screenResponsibilities:Responsible for the operation of multiple pieces of manufacturing equipment ranging from simple to more difficult complexity Responsible for set up and pre-running of the equipment to ensure proper production startup Control of line speeds, batch formula, production rates, starting and stopping equipment, and overall product elegance and safetyResponsible for light maintenance repairs and preventative maintenance of all equipment and assisting maintenance in keeping all equipment and facility in good repair and regularly servicedResponsible for various quality checks Completes all required paperwork (for example: downtime HACCP etc. utilizing SAP SOP's Safety operation training as appropriate) The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required; including but not limited to bump cap, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, hair and beard nets, gloves and safety shoes or rubber bootsMay be responsible for disassembling, disconnecting, cleaning, operating, and reassembling and reconnecting lines and equipment Conduct yourself in a manner consistent with company mission values code of ethics policies and other standards of conductHours may change based on production schedule (some overtime and weekend work may be required)The employing subsidiaries of Schwan's Company are Equal Employment Opportunity Employers. Two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred.Years of Related Experience: 0-2 years of related experienceKnowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of PLC software and ability to perform minor PLC program adjustments onequipment. Basic electrical skills required such as ability to use a voltage/ohm meter, amp meter, using electricalschematic and understanding single phase and three phase wiring.; Arc Flash trained; Basic building skills requiredsuch as ability to join PVC pipe, use an electric drain snake, mix concrete, grout tile troubleshoot dock leveler andability to add/change oil on an air compressor; Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to complete work orders, carry outinstructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form, and complete required paperwork; Ability to add, subtract,multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume; Mechanical knowledge and ability toexpand knowledge and skills via on-the-job and formal training directed at increasing job-related skills as mandatedby management, including all required OSHA training; Ability to learn basic computer skills, including SAPMaintenance Module; Ability to obtain a valid forklift license; Demonstrated interpersonal skills sufficient tocommunicate in a professional manner with co-workers and supervisors; Ability to comply with all general safetypolicies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State and Federal Occupational Safety and HealthAdministration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
