The Maintenance Technician I is responsible for routing maintenance in the Production Facility.

* Troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical problems related to all material handling equipment and the facility building

* Operates all types of material handling tools to perform maintenance and repair

* Oversees outside service providers for necessary repairs when independent contractors are required

* Executes preventative maintenance on the facility and equipment as required

* Maintains the maintenance shop and work areas in a clean, safe & organized condition

* Participates in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position

* Performs tasks assigned by the department leadership staff to achieve and maintain daily productivity & quality goals

* Operate chillers, boilers, and auxiliary equipment

* Read gauges, meters, and charts to track boiler operations

* Inspect equipment to ensure that it is operating efficiently

* Check safety devices routinely

* Record data and keep logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activity

Required Skills

* High school diploma/GED or equivalent preferred

* Minimum of 1 year mechanical and electrical experience - certifications preferred
