  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, two-year degree in specialized maintenance trade preferred and 0-2 years of related experience
  • Basic mechanical knowledge required, and electrical skills preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret safety documents, maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
  • Ability to complete work orders and enter the required paperwork into a computer
  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to communicate in a professional manner with co-workers and supervisors
  • Must be able to lift up to ninety (90) lbs.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on conveyor systems and production machines; troubleshoot malfunctions
  • Setup and tear down equipment; may assist with major repairs, construction, fabrication, and installation of new plant equipment
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments
  • Remove defective parts by dismantling components using hoists and hand and power tools
  • Help control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques, monitoring compliance
  • Use SAP to document and communicate with operations
  • Work in a safe manner with a sense of urgency while maintaining a safe and orderly work area
  • Participate in and successfully complete management-assigned training directed at increasing job-related trade skills
  • The use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required; including but not limited to bump cap, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, hair and beard nets, gloves and safety shoes or rubber boots
  • Conduct yourself in a manner consistent with company mission, values, code of ethics, policies, and other standards of conduct

Basic electrical skills required such as ability to use a voltage/ohm meter, amp meter, using electricalschematic and understanding single phase and three phase wiring.; Arc Flash trained; Basic building skills requiredsuch as ability to join PVC pipe, use an electric drain snake, mix concrete, grout tile troubleshoot dock leveler andability to add/change oil on an air compressor; Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules,operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; Ability to complete work orders, carry outinstructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form, and complete required paperwork; Ability to add, subtract,multiply, divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume; Mechanical knowledge and ability toexpand knowledge and skills via on-the-job and formal training directed at increasing job-related skills as mandatedby management, including all required OSHA training; Ability to learn basic computer skills, including SAPMaintenance Module; Ability to obtain a valid forklift license; Demonstrated interpersonal skills sufficient tocommunicate in a professional manner with co-workers and supervisors; Ability to comply with all general safetypolicies and procedures in accordance with Company, Local, State and Federal Occupational Safety and HealthAdministration (OSHA) rules and regulations.
