**This is a second shift position scheudled Monday-Thursday 2:30pm-1:00am. Overtime is scheduled as needed. The hourly rate of pay starts at $24.35 and is based on experience. This opening is at our Plant on Route 30 in Gettysburg.**
Performs complex mechanical duties on machines and equipment needed for production and perform some electrical troubleshooting as necessary.
Major Functions and Scope:
+ Examines machines and equipment to diagnose the source of trouble.
+ Dismantles machines and perform repairs.
+ Makes necessary adjustments to machines and equipment for proper operation.
+ Performs minor electrical repairs and installations.
+ Operates pipe cutting and/or pipe bending equipment.
+ Performs skilled welding and plumbing repairs.
+ Performs maintenance of powered industrial trucks including mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
+ Maintain historical service records of powered industrial trucks.
+ Informs supervisor of operational status of equipment and notifies of any problem areas.
+ Follows standard operating and safety procedures.
+ Keep area safe, clean, and organized.
+ Perform other duties as required.
Education and Knowledge:
+ High school diploma or equivalent experience. Degree in mechanical or electrical engineering preferred.
Experience:
+ 2-4 years industrial maintenance experience. Industrial electrical experience, hydraulic and pneumatic experience is preferred.
Competencies:
+ Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
+ Ability to read and understand procedures in English.
+ Ability to test motors and electrical circuits using a voltameter and amp reader.
+ Ability to work in a safe and conscientious manner.
