Job DescriptionJOB DESCRIPTIONPosition: Maintenance Tech IILocation: Denton, TX Reports to: Facility Manager / SupervisorDepartment: North American OperationsSkill Level: Intermediate -- Typically has Associates degree in Mechatronics / Industrial Maintenance Technologies, Industrial Electronics Technologies or 1-3 years of work experience.Position Purpose: Maintenance Tech is responsible for supporting the maintenance team, execute preventive maintenance actions and activities as assigned. Assist troubleshooting of equipment and help determine failure reasons and anomalies thru structured problem-solving methodology. Technician will also be responsible for collecting and assisting with documentation of repair details, as directed by their Team Leader and or Maintenance Manager.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform quick analysis and repair both mechanical issues on equipment.
  • Work from mechanical and / sketches, manuals, specifications, written or oral instructions.
  • Capability to assist in the training of others on necessary skills to perform repairs.
  • Technically skilled to facilitate the recovery of at least 50% of equipment from a technical fault without assistance.
  • Technical ability to demonstrate sound execution of the mechanical repairs of equipment and in providing long term resolution to equipment failures.
  • Ability to read, understand and comply with work directions, training manuals, safety rules, standard operating procedures, and World Class Manufacturing processes.
  • Able to pass a hands-on basic electrical mechanical Tetra Pak designed tests.
  • Experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components. Controls / PLCs knowledge a plus.
  • Preferred to have a solid knowledge and experience in the use of maintenance tools and equipment such as a lathe, mill, grinders, drill press, etc.
  • Prepare and set up equipment for production after repair.
  • Under minimal directions, work directly from a work order.
  • Perform scheduled PM's as assigned.
  • Experience in the following:
  • Intermediate mechanical theory
  • Intermediate computer skills with use of Microsoft Office -- Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Position Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Mechanical and electrical theory required.
  • AC/DC motor controls and PLC control logic preferred.
  • SAP / CMMS maintenance system preferred.
  • Ability to pass Maintenance based aptitude testing.
  • Associates degree in Mechatronics / Industrial Maintenance Technologies, Industrial Electronics Technologies or minimum of 6 months' work experience accepted.
Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the key actions of the job:
  • Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is high). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces from 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; stoop, or crouch.
  • Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment
  • Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
