Maintenance Technician III (2nd Shift)
Work Schedule: 2nd Shift 3:00 PM to 1:30 AM (Monday to Thursday)

Primary Purpose:
Responsible for keeping a facility operating and repairing any problems when they are discovered before they can cause additional damage while following and maintaining safety policies and procedures with a high standard of quality and workmanship when performing the duties.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
Able to meet the required skills of a Maintenance Technician II plus the following:
* Electrical working knowledge 480 volt + systems including the testing of and replacing photo eyes.
* Wire pulling and conduit sizing.
* Industrial hydraulic maintenance including advanced trouble shooting, change hoses, valves, rebuild cylinders, repair clogged filters and strainers and repair valves
* Intermediate knowledge of pipe fitting, should be able to thread and fit a pipe
* Advanced welding skills, able to do fabrication work
* Must follow all hot work protocols
* Programable Logic Controller (PLC) trouble shooting
* Knowledge of various wood fired high-pressure boiler operations
* Understanding of industrial hydraulics, pneumatic systems and pumps
* Will enter PO's
* Other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED
* 5 years of experience of manufacturing site mechanical & electrical troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance (Preferred)
* Arc Flash certification (Required)
Desired Skills and Abilities:
* Working knowledge of belts, pulleys, and sprocket drive systems
* Electrician skills, working with 480 volts + systems
* Anything above 480 volts will be handled by an outside source
* Basic welding and fabrication skills
* Working knowledge of industrial hydraulics, pneumatic systems and pumps
* Work as part of the maintenance team to correct and enhance plant operations for the continued success of NWH
* Complete scheduled project work and maintenance work in timely manner
* Be able to work at high heights
* Suitable agility and stamina to permit negotiation of stairs, elevated work platforms and/or ladders
* The ability to lift, bend, twist, push, pull and stand for the duration of a shift
* May have to lift up to 50lbs - if needed, use the Buddy System
* Overtime may be required, as well as periodically working different shifts
* Fill in when needed during vacations and break rotations
* Strong work ethic with the ability to be flexible, work in a changing environment, and work as part of a highly functional team
* Have a strong desire, dedication and determination to succeed, by continually improving skills through on-the-job training and various offered educational opportunities
* Must have excellent attendance
* Work at a fast pace, be detail-oriented, self-motivated and a self-starter
* Strong written and communications skills
* Ability to work in hot, noisy & dirty environments

* Perform housekeeping regularly, ensuring area of responsibility remains neat and clean
