Job Description:Fairway Management's Maintenance Techs are essential to the health of our properties as they turn units, preform preventative maintenance, and complete work orders for residents. This is a dynamic role where problem solving, efficient use of time, and a focus on being cost effective are key. A non-extensive list of maintenance skills used in this role include drywall repair, painting, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair, general building maintenance & etc. Essential Functions:
  • Complete daily resident work orders .
  • Be available for on call after hours.
  • Must have applicable maintenance tools.
  • Conduct unit turns in a timely manner including painting, carpet cleaning, and general unit cleaning as needed.
  • Preform quarterly preventative maintenance checks.
  • Must be able to lift up to 55lbs.
  • Must be able to work in enclosed spaces such as attics and crawl spaces.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
  • Must be willing to assist neighboring properties in maintenance tasks.
  • Must be able to pick up supplies from area vendors as needed while legally operating a registered and properly insured vehicle.
  • Travel to, and participate in, both regional and corporate training and/or conferences as required.
  • Be alert to any emergencies, suspicious persons or events and notify appropriate staff.
Position Requirements:
  • High School diploma or the equivalent
  • Prior experience in Maintenance, Construction or related field, preferred
