POSITION SUMMARYThe Reliability Maintenance Technician will focus on life cycle asset management at the Buffalo and Tonawanda facilities. This position will utilize Reliability Centered Maintenance to optimize maintenance practices to ensure assets uptime, reliability and overall plant safety. The ideal candidate will have worked on a variety of manufacturing systems with experience troubleshooting electrical / mechanical systems as well as conducting both PM and PPM and make data driven decisions.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ Must know, understand and abide by all Retech Systems safety rules, standards and practices./ Assemble, install, and repair electrical / mechanical systems including but are not limited to motors, pneumatics, hydraulics, sensors, etc. into large industrial processing equipment./ Work with Manufacturing Engineer to understand root cause failure analysis of an asset or system failure./ Maintain and track life cycles of assets to support PPM initiative./ Utilize troubleshooting techniques, methodologies and tools to identify failure and repair failure/s./ Perform maintenance tasks, repairs, and improvements on building and infrastructure as assigned./ Working understanding of NEC codes, become trained in NFPA-70E./ Maintain, test and replace AC/DC motors and motor control systems./ Use a variety of hand, power, and machine tools to complete a task. / Working from heights while wearing a fall harness./ Operating overhead cranes, forklifts, and other powered industrial equipment in a safe manner./ Other jobs as requested, to support operations at the Buffalo and Tonawanda facilities.RequirementsQUALIFICATIONSRequired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:/ High level of mechanical aptitude and extensive mechanical expertise./ Knowledge of general electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills./ Able to read blueprints, technical instructions, and assembly drawings./ Able to drive forklifts, use overhead cranes, and knowledge of rigging./ Exceptional organization skills with attention to detail./ Work and collaborate with members from the manufacturing, production and R&D teams all while also putting safety as a top priority./ Excellent verbal and written communication skills for both internal and external customers, contractors, and vendors.Education and Experience:/ High School graduate or equivalent./ 3 years of work experience as an industrial mechanic./ Electrical, construction, and renovation experience preferred.Physical Demands:/ The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend, hear and talk. / The employee is frequently required to use hands. / The employee occasionally will be required to reach with hands or arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl. / The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance and talk or hear. / The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. / Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision and depth perception./ Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Salary Description $20-$32/hour based on experience
