Position: Fleet Maintenance Technician This position reports to the Warehouse Manager. In this role, the Fleet Maintenance Technician will assist the Warehouse team in supporting the field teams by maintaining and transporting construction equipment as needed. Qualifications and Other Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of building construction machinery. Basic diesel and gas engine knowledge. Minimum of three (3) years' experience performing routine maintenance services for construction vehicles and equipment. Must pass a physical to obtain a DOT driver's medical card. Responsibilities: Include, but are not limited to: Perform routine maintenance such as greasing, checking oil levels, and checking battery status on company-owned construction equipment (telehandler/lull, generator, scissor lift, and other various machinery). Provide routine checks on machinery for damage and report them to Controller, General Superintendent, and the site Project Manager. Schedule services for machines as needed. Keep accurate and up to date logs on what maintenance has been performed. Travel to job sites to perform maintenance as needed. Assist with the transporting of parts for the repairing of the machines. Assist with the transporting of vehicles to their destination. Essential Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to work in an environment which may include fumes, odors, chemicals, sawdust and ash. Ability to work in an environment with noises in the range of thirty to eighty five decibels. Ability to lift or push up to one hundred (100) pounds, or in excess thereof, with the use of proper equipment or assistance. Ability to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds. Ability to use hand tools safely. Ability to use electric tools safely. Ability to walk up and down steps, climb ladders, staging and scaffolding and on uneven ground. Ability to bend, twist, reach, stretch and work in tight spaces. Ability to drive a motor vehicle and large construction or box trucks.
