The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for anticipating, diagnosing and repairing all areas of the facility. Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Communicates, coordinates, and schedules all repairs and problems with Operations, including diagnosing problems and preventative maintenance; ensuring problems and tasks are addressed in a timely manner.
- Communicates with Maintenance Manager / Supervisor when parts or outside labor will be needed to complete tasks.
- Remove, install, rebuild, weld, torch, lubricate and clean all equipment associated with the process.
- Performs equipment, instrument and electrical work as needed.
- Completes tasks assigned by Maintenance Manager as scheduled or on-call basis.
- Utilizes call out log to document priority and need of after hour requests.
- Assists Maintenance Manager with inventory management.
- Completes assignments in our work order tracking system, labor hours, and parts.
- Ability to understand and utilize our maintenance software.
- Maintains compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations.
- Maintains plant sanitation standards.
- Operates heavy equipment including fork lifts, boom lifts and scissor lifts.
- Completes training as required.
- Complete / request job safety permits - hot work, confined space, LOTO, roof access, safe work permit, etc.
- Ability to read and understand computer printouts, schematics, and equipment specifications.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- AA, BS and/or technical education is preferred.
- Prior maintenance experience desired.
- Strong safety performance and value for safety.
- Good time management skills and ability to prioritize work tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially spreadsheets) or related software.
- Display quality work through strong attention to detail and initiative to complete tasks.
- Work with a team by coordinating efforts and delegating duties as needed.
- Work overtime hours as necessary.
- Willing to be part of on-call rotation.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screen.

- This role involves statistical analysis and configuring basic inferences.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights of up to 150 feet.

- Ability to work in loud noise environments.
- Ability to work in dusty environments.
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 55 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely.
- Willing to work 12 hour shifts and rotating shifts.
