POSITION SUMMARY The individual in this role will modify, repair, and improve existing production equipment and will assist in developing Preventative Maintenance processes for Mechanics and Operators, implementing new systems or updating existing systems, equipment, components, or products. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Repairs, installs, and inspects electronics or electronic systems as directed through verbal or written directions, diagrams, drawings, or specifications Maintains and makes necessary operating adjustments to the organizations equipment and machinery Determines material or replacement needs and a logical method for repair; takes appropriate action to meet those needs and makes repairs Performs preventive maintenance inspections and service on machines. Thoroughly cleans machines and machine parts, removing parts and reinstalling as necessary. Oils and lubricates moving parts on machines to ensure effective performance. Records and reports damaged, worn, or broken parts. Orders and installs replacement parts for machines. Identifies the causes of unexpected breakdowns of machines. Repairs broken machines quickly and efficiently. Prepares reports documenting work performed. Cleans, organizes, inventories, stocks, and otherwise maintains shop areas, parts, tools, and supplies. Coordinates with managers to schedule regular maintenance on machines. Collaborates with product manager or plant engineer regarding new products being added and modifications that will be required. Makes necessary modifications and implements tests runs; confers with product manager regarding test results and makes additional alterations to machinery as required. Creates or adapts parts as needed to make repairs and improve the performance of various electronics Performs safety checks to ensure equipment operates as intended Reports potentially dangerous equipment to supervisor and takes steps to resolve the issue Develops and maintains records related to equipment Participate in a collaborative work environment utilizing effective communication and willingness to cross train to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development. Comply with comprehensive safety protocols and participate in ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment and maintain a safety-conscious culture. Follow all 5S principles and guidelines daily to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment. Undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management. QUALIFICATIONS ( Education, Experience, & Skills required) Associates degree in related field required 4+ years related experience and/or training; equivalent combination of education and experience. Mechanically inclined with excellent problem-solving skills. Organized with attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced and stressful environment Thorough understanding of electronics principles and design Detail-oriented and organized Excellent problem-solving ability Ability to follow highly complex directions Demonstrates skill in writing routine reports and correspondence Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Demonstrates a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in work Displays diligence in completing tasks in a timely manner, utilizing effective time management skills Work Environment This role involves working in a warehouse and manufacturing setting. In this setting, standard equipment such as machinery, computers, cameras, and material handling equipment (forklift, reach truck, order picker, etc.) are used. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by employee to successfully perform the Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to frequently remain in a stationary position Must be able to frequently move about inside the warehouse to access product and machinery, etc. Must be able to stand and walk 60% of time, lift up to 40 lbs. normal, up to 70 lbs. less than 10% of time. Frequently reads various documents and operates computer and other office tools/databases/equipment. Frequently communicates with colleagues, co-workers, and customers. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations. Frequently operates a computer and warehouse machinery. Salary Description $25.00-$35.00 Hourly Employment Type: Full Time
