Position Summary:The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for a wide variety of tasks within the maintenance department. The basic function of this role is to perform preventative maintenance, diagnose pump issues and follow up with the appropriate repair, as wellas assist in general maintenance procedures as necessary. Secondary responsibilities will include seasonal yard work including mowing, weed eating, and spraying. The person must be able to handle physical work as well as some computer applications. Individual must be able to read and interpret legal and technical information. Applicant will have both hands on and classroom training for multiple scenariosEssential Functions:
- Responding promptly to production breakdowns
- Troubleshoot/Diagnose pump issues and rebuild pumps
- Assist production with troubleshooting part quality problems when necessary
- Weld materials as needed
- Required to operate fork truck, high lift, other large machinery, tools, power tools
- Preforming preventative Maintenance on all equipment per PM system
- Participate in technical training when required
- Comply with all safety requirements lock/out, confined spaces
- Maintain equipment to ensure that pollution (i.e. water, air emissions, oil leaks, etc.) is minimized
- Seasonal yard work including mowing and weed eating
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED
- Welding experience preferred
- Maintenance experience
- Logical and practical thinker
Skills & Abilities:
- Computer Skills: Have basic computer skills including Microsoft word and Excel. Efficiently navigate a web browser, follow online instructions, type, and use a mouse.
- Work Ethic: An energetic forward-thinking and creative individual with high ethical standards. An individual with sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment and strong operational focus. A well organized and self-directed individual who is a team player.
- Physical Abilities: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. The noise level in the work environments is usually moderate. Read Product and chemical names.
Work Environment:While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in outside weather conditions. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, traffic, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and vibration.Physical Requirements:
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Safety glasses, goggles, Face Shield, respirator etc.
- Vision: Near, Distance, Color, Peripheral, Depth Perception
- Sense of Sound: 55 decibels, adult conversation
- Sense of Smell: Able to detect odors
