Assignment Focus:Performs a variety of technical duties under varying levels of supervision. Locates and diagnoses failures, does basic to advanced troubleshooting of equipment, and performs repair, replacement, adjustment, and preventive maintenance on computer-controlled systems, robotic devices, manufacturing equipment, and office facilities as required. This is a safety-sensitive position.Levels:I. Maintenance Technician I: Entry-level position with the primary focus on developing technical skills and learning preventative maintenance protocols.II. Maintenance Technician II: Intermediate position with demonstrated technical proficiency and ability to independently troubleshoot equipment failures.III. Maintenance Technician III: Advanced position with mastery of technical duties, including advanced troubleshooting, equipment repair, preventive maintenance, and team leadership.Primary Responsibilities:
- Locate and diagnose failures by troubleshooting equipment, instrumentation, and building electrical systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
- Assist in coordinating with the Production Team on available downtime for repairs and PM's.
- Other duties as may be assigned.
Skills & Abilities:Maintenance Technician I:
- Demonstrated Safety Skills - Lockout/Tag out, PPE.
- Basic use of shop machinery and normal industrial tools.
- Basic Electrical & Mechanical Skills.
- Good Mechanical Aptitude - Equipment installs, familiarity with bushings, bearings, shafts, seals, alignment, and various pipe fittings.
- Ability to work off a scheduled Preventative Maintenance plan.
- Ability to troubleshoot and inspect equipment while reporting abnormalities.
- Ability to use computer software (Word, Excel, etc).
- Ability to frequently lift 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods of time.
Maintenance Technician II:
- All skills and abilities of Maintenance Technician I.
- Proficiency in the use of shop machinery and normal industrial tools.
- Advanced Electrical & Mechanical Skills, including reading and interpreting electrical drawings/prints.
- Experience in equipment repair, including pumps, bushings, bearings, shafts, and seals.
- Proficiency in computer software (Word, Excel, etc) and basic PLC/HMI systems programming.
Maintenance Technician III:
- All skills and abilities of Maintenance Technician II.
- Mastery of Electrical & Mechanical Skills, including advanced troubleshooting and PLC/HMI systems programming.
- Ability to lead and supervise a team of technicians.
- Welding skills.
- Ability to work at high elevations and drive a forklift.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Licensed in a skilled trade preferred for level II and III positions.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred: 1+ years for level I, 5+ years for level II, 7+ years for level III.
- Valid Driver's License - clean driving record.
- Work OT as needed.
- Ability to travel as required.
- Ability to work independently and a part of a team.
- This is a safety-sensitive position.
