Position Type: Full time Compensation: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour Location: Broadway Plaza - 15 1st Street, Rochester, MN Schedule:Tuesday - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm and Saturday, 7:30am - 4:00pm. *Schedules may change based on business needs. May include holidays and alternate workdays or hours as needed. About the job: The Maintenance Technician supports the business by keeping the Broadway Plaza facility operating properly and repairing any problems when they are discovered. What you'll be doing:
  • Perform general repairs to facility and equipment
  • Ensure good water quality for boilers and chillers
  • Daily check in and check out of guest rooms
  • Perform basic electrical, plumbing and appliance repair
  • Complete daily work orders per guests or staff
  • Snow removal in winter
  • Other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.
  • May provide cross-training to staff.
Travel:
  • This position does not require travel
About you:What you'll bring:
  • High school diploma/vocational/GED required
  • Have or be able to obtain CPO and special engineer boilers license within 6 months
What we are looking for:
  • Prefer building maintenance experience but are willing to train
  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. or more
Work Environment The work environment will vary depending on daily tasks. Work will take place within hotel rooms, apartment rooms, common areas. Work environment will vary depending on duties, including interior and exterior conditions. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to use their hands. The employee is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. This job requires the ability to occasionally work in stressful conditions and remain focused for extended periods of time. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds; tools, equipment and/or other items.
