Primary function is to ensure that the machinery and equipment in the plant remain in good working order to optimize plant productivity and efficiencies. Responsible for complying with all applicable Company standards and government regulations. Maintenance responsibilities include project and outage work. This position may also be responsible for activities related to Pipefitting and Millwright/Fabrication. Primary Responsibilities/Essential Functions:Maintains and repairs operating equipment, including removal, installation, rebuilding, lubrication and cleaning of all equipment associated with the production processWelds, torches, cuts, fabricates, and pipe threadingMaintains utility equipment, diesel fire pumps, locomotives, rail tracks, and other associated equipmentPerforms basic instrument replacement and basic electrical workLearns plant process and procedures for plant start-up, shut-down and operations for better understanding of how equipment is utilizedEnsures orderly shift change by communicating with outgoing operations staff with respect to maintenance problems or other ongoing issues and/or tasksQualificationsRequired:Four (4) years of experience with welding, cutting, gearbox repair, pump alignment, material handling systems, preventive maintenance, and/or instrument and electrical work in an industrial processing facility or in a machine shopValid driver's licenseHigh school diploma/GEDKnowledge of manufacturing processes, procedures and industrial processing machineryKnowledge of PLC, Instrumentation, Ladder Logic, MCC's and Electrical systemsAbility to perform all duties of position while maintaining compliance with regulatory safety requirements, e.g., OSHA (including PSM), EPA, USDA, ISO 9000 and BQ-9000Ability to read electrical and equipment schematicsAbility to provide instruction with respect to computer control systems and machine operation/repairAbility to climb stairs and ladders as well as work at heights; manage confined space entry, withstand extended periods of walking and standing; move manufacturing materials, products and equipment of 50 pounds or more which requires regular bending and liftingPreferred:Technical degreePipefitting and Millwright/Fabrication experienceAdditional InformationAdditional Information for the jobWhat We OfferWe provide a dynamic and stimulating international environment, which will stretch and develop your abilities and channel your skills and expertise with outstanding career development opportunities in one of the largest and most solid private companies in the world.- Comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental and vision care coverage, flexible spending account plans, employee assistance program, life insurance and disability coverage- 401k with Company Match- Family Friendly Benefits including childbirth and parental leave, fertility and family building benefits- Paid Time Off (PTO) and Paid Holidays- Flexible work available (not applicable to all roles)Diversity & InclusionLDC is driven by a set of shared values and high ethical standards, with diversity and inclusion being part of our DNA.
