Maintenance Technician

Job Location: St. Louis, MO

Job Type: Full Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 5:30am - 2:00pm or 6:30am - 3:00pm

Job Summary:

As a member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the maintenance of the machinery in the production area. This includes examining machinery to determine malfunction and the components needed for the repair of the machinery. You may be asked to assist with minor building and facility maintenance and assist with project implementation and process improvement.

What Will Your Job Look Like?

* Diagnose failures, determine parts and material requirements and perform repairs as required to resume operation on production equipment.

* Participate in Maintenance Department project implementation and on process improvement teams.

* Perform root/cause analysis in support of reliability processes, and collaborate with vendors, engineering and management to solve equipment problems and develop corrective action.

* Makes minor carpentry, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing repairs.

* Empties chip and scrap containers.

* Replenishes restroom supplies and replaces light bulbs.

* Participates in general cleaning, painting, and repair work.

* Uses hand tools and power tools in making minor maintenance repairs and maintaining grounds and walks.

* Repair or replace control devices such as switches, optical sensors, motor starters.

* Use precision alignment and measuring instruments.

* Perform some outside job duties (groundskeeping) as needed.

* Perform other related duties as assigned.

All You Need Is...

* High school diploma

* Two or more years of work-related experience

* The ability to work safely and follow strict safety practices.

* Basic knowledge of electronics, pneumatics, mechanics, hydraulics, and structural maintenance.

* Possess analytical skills and a demonstrated understanding of electrical and mechanical machine controls and drive systems.

* Ability to communicate effectively with company employees and all levels of management.

* Strong work ethic with the ability to work independently or in a team environment.

Even Better If You Have

* Familiar with the safe operation of various light / heavy machinery

* Experience operating plant equipment to fabricate, cut, weld, and repair machine parts.

Physical Requirements:

* Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Standing, Walking, Pushing, Pulling, Lifting, Picking, Grasping, Feeling, Talking, Hearing, Repetitive Motions

* Close visual acuity

* Subject to noise, hazards, and oils.

* Lift up to 50 lbs
