Job Description:

The Maintenance Technician position works as part of a team assisting Maintenance Specialist and Senior Maintenance Specialist. This position may complete minor or semi-skilled preventative maintains or repairs on uncomplicated equipment.

Essential Job Functions

* Operate basic tools such as drill presses, belt sanders, automatic saws, grinders, power hand tools, etc.

* Replenish lubricants and/or and replenish or replace any that are necessary for proper preventive maintenance.

* Change and replace filters as needed and/or required.

* Assist with minor preventative maintenance.

* Maintain housekeeping of maintenance area and work site areas.

* Assist Maintenance and Senior Maintenance Specialist as needed and/or required.

* All other duties as assigned.

* The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.

* Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position

* Overtime is a mandatory condition of employment and frequent in this position

* Must maintain a Powered Industrial Vehicle license.

* Driver's license required.

* Self-starter and goal oriented.

* Basic knowledge of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and power and hand tools.

* Must be able to operate powered industrial vehicles and aerial lifts.

Education and Experience

* High school diploma or GED equivalent.

* One to three years' previous experience in manufacturing, maintenance, and/or electrical preferred.

* Minimum of one-year experience operating tools such as drill presses, belt sanders, grinders, power hand tools, etc.

Base Compensation Range: $19.00 - $22.50 per hour

Shift Differential: 10%

Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 10% of gross annual salary base on company performance (as of 2024).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to walk, stand, use hands and fingers, handle, grasp or feel; reach with hands and arms climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Additional effort requirements consist of, but are not limited to, lifting, pushing and pulling material, stairs, and ladders. When there is an occasion to move heavy material greater than 50 pounds, the operator will request assistance from another operator, or utilize provided lifting equipment.
