MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN Purpose: To perform activities necessary to keep the machines, mechanical equipment, and the structures of our facilities in good repair. Duties may involve welding, carpentry, repairing electrical and mechanical equipment, installing new equipment and keeping the buildings in good repair. You will work with our team to ensure our success as a business. Job Duties:
- Performs general maintenance and upkeep on building and grounds.
- Perform scheduled, preventative maintenance on equipment and buildings
- Perform maintenance and repair on plant manufacturing equipment.
- Keep documents of inspections and problems.
- Inspect and identify equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Troubleshoot issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Plan repair work using building blueprints or equipment manuals as needed.
- Order parts, supplies and equipment from catalogs and suppliers or obtain them from stock items as they are needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Check and respond to security and safety issues.
- Monitor pest control.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Must be able to handle prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
Requirements Requirements: Education High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) 3+ years' experience in similar position preferred. Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Knowledge of repair materials, methods, and tools. Ability to follow instructions from supervisors. Ability to use hand tools and power tools in the safest manner. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Salary Description $22 - $30 / hr
