The leading North American converter/manufacturer of foams, nonwovens, foils, films, specialty materials, and fabrics is looking for a Maintenance Technician to add to their team. This organization specializes in various markets including automotive, marine, recreational vehicles, HVAC, flooring, and many others. The customer base includes many of the top OEM and industrial companies in the world. This position is for a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician position at their state-of-the-art facility in Mebane, NC.Job responsibilities include:- Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment- Maintains all required preventative maintenance routines, schedules, and documentation - Listens for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction(s)- Discusses machine operation variations with a supervisor or other maintenance workers to diagnose problems, solve custom production requirements, or repair machines - Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts- Cleans and lubricates shaft, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery - Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as transformers and wiring, and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment- Reads and understands electrical prints - Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment- Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment- Repairs, modifies, and maintains the physical structure of the establishment- Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut, join, or fabricate metal parts- Fabricates and repairs counters, benches, partitions, and other wooden structuresThis is an hourly role which starts at $24/hour and goes up due to experience. There is also a $1.25/hour shift differential. There is a retention bonus of $1,000 after 90 days of employment.
