This is a general maintenance position, and they need candidates who can use the principles and theories of science, engineering, and mathematics to solve technical problems in research and development, manufacturing, inspection, and maintenance. Your work will be more hands-on, narrowly focused, and application-oriented than that of an engineer. You may assist engineering at times, especially in research and development. Some candidates will work in quality control, inspecting products and processes, conducting tests, or collecting data. Some may assist in product design, development, or production.You will provide daily maintenance support to the facility and related equipment by installing, modifying, and repair of manufacturing machine and equipment, plant support equipment, facility structure, grounds and other duties as needed. You will need to show you have troubleshooting and repair maintenance experience and be able to process problems and develop preventive/corrective actions as needed. You will also be an active participant in the planned and preventive maintenance, Kaizen ,and Small Group Programs for the facility. You also must maintain and improve 5S activities. Coordinate projects, lead and/or work with others in a team environment.They are looking for candidates with electro-mechanical (some combination) experience as an industrial maintenance technician (formal technical training in related areas may be considered as part of direct experience). They want to concentrate on candidates with electronics or electrical background who are mechanically inclined. If you have strong troubleshooting and repair experience with power, switches, and relays you could be a strong fit for this role. If you are familiar with operation and repair of hydraulic, pneumatic, boilers, compressors, and HVAC systems or if you have any welding and fabrication experience make sure you talk about it as these are desired skills.This is for a 2nd shift role that works from 3pm to 1130pm with 6-8 hours of overtime a week. This position has a 5% shift differential and will start on first shift for the first few weeks to get trained, then move to 2nd shift.Base, plus 6-8 hours of overtime a week.
