Our client, the largest steel producer and steel recycler in North America, is looking for a Maintenance Technician. In this role you will be troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues pertaining to the machinery and equipment, including upgrades to wiring and conduit.They need someone who can analyze problems, tear down machinery and equipment and replace or repair parts and reassemble. They need someone with the ingenuity to fabricate parts, designing, machining, and fabricating specialty parts for repairs that cannot typically be ordered.While this is an electro-mechanical role and they would prefer someone with strong mechanical experience to go along with some electrical, they will look at electrical or mechanical candidates for it. You will be performing a wide variety or installation, maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment involving electrical, plumbing, mechanical and related trade activities, so be prepared to speak about any maintenance experience you have.They are also looking for candidates who are used to following prescribed safety rules and regulations, while still maintaining quality standards, as safety is something they take very seriously.They have an overnight position open right now that works from 6pm to 6am on a continental shift. No rotating shifts between days and nights.Base plus bonuses that are based on production and team performance. Great benefits.
