Maintenance Technician - Elkton, MI.90-day Contract-to-Direct positionPay Rate: $30.61 per hour + Shift Premium ($0.60 for 2nd Shift, $0.75 for 3rd Shift)Available Shifts:First Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm Monday-Friday (plant runs 7-days per week, so weekend work should be expected)Second Shift: 3:00pm - 11:30pm Monday-Friday (plant runs 7-days per week, so weekend work should be expected)Third Shift: 11:00pm - 7:30am Monday-Friday (plant runs 7-days per week, so weekend work should be expected)Job Summary of the Maintenance Technician:
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as robots, conveyors, and programmable controllers
- Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables
- Diagnose and replace faulty electrical components and machines such as relays, switches, and motors and positions sensing devices
- Participate in an annual Tool Purchase Program
- Tests malfunctioning machinery and discussed malfunction with other personnel from other affected departments including production, maintenance, and tool room to diagnose malfunction
- Dismantle machines and equipment to gain access to problem areas
- Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other problems
- Removes and replaces worn or broken parts
Requirements of the Maintenance Technician:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Journeyman Card or EIGHT YEARS experience
- Working with large metal stamping presses (200-300 ton)
- Working with robotic welding machines (Fanuc pedestal welders)
- Experience in a manufacturing environment working with steel, iron, aluminum, and other various metals
