Title: Maintenance TechnicianReports to: Maintenance ManagerLocation: San Leandro, CAPosition Summary:The Maintenance Technician position requires candidates that are flexible, have a sense of urgency, and can prioritize quickly based on business needs. This is a great opportunity for candidates that are seeking job variety and growing challenges for continuous improvement in preventative maintenance; all while working within a safe and productive environment.Job Responsibilities:
  • Responsible to complete preventative maintenance routines
  • Focus on equipment repairs in a timely and safe manner
  • Involved with projects that involve the installation of new equipment and design
  • Assist with process automation
  • Assist with process improvement of packaging, brewing, and facility processes
  • Assist in developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and help develop future maintenance programs
  • Responsible for parts procurement work and detail
  • Weekly cleaning and keeping maintenance areas organized
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts that may include evenings and weekend work based on business needs
RequirementsJob Requirements:
  • Prior experience in Brewing, Beverage, Dairy or other Food Processing Industries in Maintenance is preferred
  • Flexible schedule; ability to work OT, weekend shifts as needed
  • Industrial electrical experience
  • Metal fabrication experience (Mig, Tig, Roller, brake, shear, lathe, mill)
  • Troubleshooting skills within a fast-paced environment
  • Manufacturing mechanical skills
  • General electrical wiring skills
  • Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
  • Valid California Driver's License is required
The following skills are considered a plus:
  • Experience with PLC automation and instrumentation
  • Commercial brewing and packaging processes
  • Knowledge of local and national building codes
  • Rebuilding of motors and pumps
  • Pneumatics and Hydraulics
  • Experience with power transmission
  • Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code)
  • Welding experience
  • Air compressor maintenance
  • HVAC and refrigeration
  • Boiler maintenance
  • Knowledge of 5S practices (sort, straighten, shine, standardize and sustain)
