Title: Maintenance TechnicianReports to: Maintenance ManagerLocation: San Leandro, CAPosition Summary:The Maintenance Technician position requires candidates that are flexible, have a sense of urgency, and can prioritize quickly based on business needs. This is a great opportunity for candidates that are seeking job variety and growing challenges for continuous improvement in preventative maintenance; all while working within a safe and productive environment.Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible to complete preventative maintenance routines
- Focus on equipment repairs in a timely and safe manner
- Involved with projects that involve the installation of new equipment and design
- Assist with process automation
- Assist with process improvement of packaging, brewing, and facility processes
- Assist in developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and help develop future maintenance programs
- Responsible for parts procurement work and detail
- Weekly cleaning and keeping maintenance areas organized
- Flexible to work rotating shifts that may include evenings and weekend work based on business needs
RequirementsJob Requirements:
- Prior experience in Brewing, Beverage, Dairy or other Food Processing Industries in Maintenance is preferred
- Flexible schedule; ability to work OT, weekend shifts as needed
- Industrial electrical experience
- Metal fabrication experience (Mig, Tig, Roller, brake, shear, lathe, mill)
- Troubleshooting skills within a fast-paced environment
- Manufacturing mechanical skills
- General electrical wiring skills
- Knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)
- Valid California Driver's License is required
The following skills are considered a plus:
- Experience with PLC automation and instrumentation
- Commercial brewing and packaging processes
- Knowledge of local and national building codes
- Rebuilding of motors and pumps
- Pneumatics and Hydraulics
- Experience with power transmission
- Knowledge of NEC (National Electrical Code)
- Welding experience
- Air compressor maintenance
- HVAC and refrigeration
- Boiler maintenance
- Knowledge of 5S practices (sort, straighten, shine, standardize and sustain)
