We are excited to welcome new staff into our family and to work on this critical, life-saving mission together.SafeHaven is seeking a Maintenance TechnicianThe maintenance technician is an essential part of the operations team. The position supports ongoing building maintenance at our locations in Fort Worth and Arlington. In the position you will perform maintenance inspections and repairs as needed, including facility lighting, routine painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC system, sheetrock repair, alarm systems and floor care. Responsibilities also developing a preventative maintenance program in conjunction with the Facilities Manager. Additional responsibilities include picking up donations and transporting between multiple facilities and purchasing tools, supplies and equipment under the direction of supervisor. This position has significant responsibilities such as participating in an on-call rotation schedule to cover evenings and weekends. The maintenance technician is required to respond to after-hours emergency maintenance calls in a timely fashion.   • High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • 1-3 years of related maintenance experience
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operation and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Current Texas Driver's License Required
  • Proof of liability automobile insurance
  • Frequent prolonged sitting, occasional walking, stooping, and standing. Ability to lift 50 pounds.
