The Company offers a wide range of critical components and engineered solutions to solve our customers' most complex challenges.Position Title: Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Athens, GADescription: Our Maintenance Technician position supports Mativ's Filtration & Advanced Materials business segment. This individual will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of machinery and equipment such as bearings, piping, hydraulics, motors, pneumatic cylinders, variable speed drives, PLC's, and production machines and equipment. The shift schedule is Monday - Thursday from 10:00AM-8:00PM.responsibilities:InspectionFollow all company established methods, policies, rules, practices, and procedures to ensure employee safety, product quality, and efficient operations. Observes mechanical devices in operation, listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble and may start devices to test their performance.Observes and tests electrical devices including heaters, motors, starters, relays to correct machine operation and return it to production.Reads schematics and PLC code to understand machine operation and more effectively troubleshoot issues. Examines form and texture of parts to detect imperfections.Inspects used parts to determine changes in dimensional requirements.Reparation and MaintenanceDismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments.Repairs or replaces defective parts and lubricates and cleans parts.Repairs electrical equipment. qualifications:RequiredAssociates degree from college, university, or technical school; 3+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
