Job DescriptionGpac is currently working with a food manufacturer in northern Iowa who is seeking a Maintenance Technician to add to their team. Business is booming and the company is going through rapid growth. This person will be responsible for:
- Conducting routine maintenance and scheduled PM services for all areas of the plant
- Work closely with department supervisors to ensure equipment is running smoothly
- Inspect, diagnose, and tests machinery and equipment including pre-operational inspections to ensure production lines are in good mechanical order
- Troubleshoot, repair and replace machines and equipment as needed
- Complete all tasks in the safest and most efficient manner, complying with safety regulations and meeting all federal, state and local environment requirements
An ideal candidate will have:
- Previous maintenance technician experience within a food manufacturing environment
- Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Basic computer and tablet skills
- Ability to work as a team or individually
- Must be able to work in areas of extreme heat, and very cold conditions.
