Job Description:
I. PURPOSE/SUMMARY We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to be responsible for performing routine and preventative maintenance tasks on all industrial machinery and equipment. This role is also responsible for troubleshooting and repairing any issues with the machines as they arise. They are responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our machinery and mechanical / facilities equipment.II. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESPerform routine inspections and maintenance of industrial machinery and equipment as well as facility equipmentDiagnose and repair any malfunctions or breakdownsPerform preventative maintenance as neededAssist in developing maintenance plansMaintain accurate records of all maintenance activities in electronic work order systemEnsure all safety regulations are followedRespond to all maintenance related requests with a prompt, professional, courteous, and willingness to help demeanorMust perform job with acceptable safety, environmental, quality, productivity, and performance standards as outlined in plant policies, handbooks, and applicable work instructionsAbility to be flexible in working traditional and non-traditional work hours, as requiredOther duties as assignedIII. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position has no supervisory responsibilitiesIV. JOB SPECIFICATIONSA. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEHigh school diploma or GED preferred.B. SKILL/CHARACTERISTICSPrefer 5 years of mechanical or electrical industrial experience.Ability to differentiate colors and work safelyAbility to read and understand written materialsAbility to meet specified production standardsAbility to hear and understand oral instructionsAbility to make inspections of work performed to maintain quality standardsAbility to use hand tools and operate all Tool & Die equipmentAbility to work in difficult and hard to reach placesAbility to use all types of hand tools and to work with very close tolerancesAbility to read and comprehend electrical prints, hydraulic schematics, and PLC ladder diagramsAbility to maneuver and adjust robot programming on primarily Fanuc and Motoman robots in a robot welding and material handling settingDemonstrated understanding of machine electrical systems and basic troubleshooting proceduresExperience in the use of fork trucks and aerial lift devices requiredBasic computer skills (email, use of tablet, Microsoft Office)Advanced PLC experience preferred
