As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency. This is a crucial role in our organization, as you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and carrying out repairs to keep our production processes running smoothly.Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery to identify and address any potential issues or concerns.
- Promptly respond to equipment breakdowns and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Perform repairs on machinery and equipment, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Collaborate with the production team to develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair work performed, including parts used and costs incurred.
- Recommend and implement improvements to equipment and processes to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
- Perform mold changes as needed.
- Perform PM work on molds.
- Perform machining, milling, and metal fabrication.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a maintenance technician, preferably within the plastics industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Proficient in conducting diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on industrial equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team environment.
- Experience with plastics blow molding operations (injection blow molding, extrusion blow molding, etc.) is a plus.
