MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN *RESUME REQUIRED*
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for working on their assigned tickets and keeping the facility in good and safe working condition. Maintenance tasks include but are not limited to building repairs & maintenance, equipment repairs & maintenance and troubleshooting building systems.
Job Specific Duties
- Troubleshoot and complete routine repairs, general maintenance, and preventative maintenance, such as: installation and maintenance of machines and equipment, emergency/unscheduled repairs of equipment as well as scheduled maintenance repairs as directed.
- Assist with builds or on-going projects when requested.
- Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities, as directed.
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and adjust.
- Perform a variety of plumbing, maintenance and carpentry functions around the facility as required.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Gives direction to Maintenance Technicians or Maintenance Assistants
- Detect faulty operations, defective material, and report those and any unusual issues to the Maintenance Supervisor.
- Effectively collaborates and communicates with the Maintenance Manager and Departmental Managers to provide details, updates, resolve issues, etc. on operational issues/concerns.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Order parts as required for machinery or anything that is requiring repair.
- Manage parts inventory.
- Borrow and return tools/supplies from the maintenance area as needed.
- Provide support in the greenhouse with crop cleanout.
- Can complete jobs and projects with minimal supervision.
- Must comply with all Health and Safety, Food Safety, Bio Security, and Policies and Procedures.

Qualifications
- 3+ years Millwright, tool & die and/or general maintenance experience are required.
- Welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read and understand manuals, work orders and drawings; basic math skills is required,
- Must have great written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be safety conscientious and be able to keep work area tidy.
- Must understand plumbing, electrical systems as well as carpentry and other basic building skills.
- Experience with power and handheld tools and work supplies.
- Must be able to embrace challenges with critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to adapt to other programs such as ConnectWise.
- Respectful, positive attitude, flexible, accountable, honest, patient, and dependable
- Willing to commit to continuous learning.
- Multi-tasking, time management and prioritizing are essential.
- Able to work independently but also a good team player.
- A valid driver's licence is required.
- Confidentiality is required with regards to company and employee related matters
- Safety shoes required.
- Travel from one location to the next or phase to phase may be required.
- Expected to report to work Monday-Saturday with the possibility of after hours or on call.
Physical Requirements
- With an active and dynamic work environment, the Maintenance Technician will be standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, and crawling all day.
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
