What will you be doing?
The Maintenance technician will be reporting directly to the assigned Director of Plant Operations. They will work collaboratively with their team to perform a variety of skilled duties in building trades. These duties consist of, but are not limited to the following: painting, carpentry, minor electrical/ plumbing, and all other recognized crafts pertaining to the maintaining, repairing and upkeep of the BriteLife Recovery Facilities.
What tasks are required?
+ Assists and performs semi skilled tasks of a general nature in connection with maintenance, repair and construction tasks in the upkeep of the building.
+ Assists and performs with installation, maintenance, repair and construction work in the basic building maintenance trades, such as carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, locksmith, carpet, and mechanics.
+ Assists and performs functions in the construction, installation and maintenance of roofs, furniture, fences, cabinets, shelving, marker boards/chalkboards, tack boards and a variety of other structures and items.
+ Prepares and paints walls and woodwork or performs other types of refinish; installs or repairs carpet and other flooring; performs custodial duties as required.
What do we need from you?
+ Preferred: Two years maintenance experience
+ Must demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills; customer service oriented
+ Must be organized, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to multitask
+ Experience working in a healthcare setting is highly desirable
+ Ability to push/lift 50 pounds
+ Bending at waist, sitting, kneeling, climbing, walking, crouching and other repeated body movements as job requires
+ Ability to work in extreme temperatures
+ Ability to climb ladders
