Position Overview:

We are seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of our Section 42 senior property.

  • First Senior I and II in Janesville, WI

This role involves a variety of maintenance tasks, including repairs, preventative maintenance, and renovations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building maintenance, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing exceptional service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

General Maintenance:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.
  • Diagnose and repair issues in apartments and common areas promptly and efficiently.
  • Conduct regular inspections of building systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with contractors and team members to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Painting for unit turns
  • Lawncare for the properties

Preventative Maintenance:

  • Implement and follow a preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and equipment.

Emergency Repairs:

  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests.
  • Be available for rotating on-call and emergency maintenance duties within the Janesville and Madison area market.

Resident Relations:

  • Provide excellent customer service to residents.
  • Communicate effectively with property management and residents regarding maintenance issues and resolutions.

Safety and Compliance:

  • Ensure all maintenance work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Participate in safety training and meetings as required.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or vocational training in building maintenance or a related field preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building systems.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license, insurance, and reliable transportation.
