This position supports the facilities team in the execution of daily operations for an award-winning Four Points by Sheraton Hotel and Conference Center and Marriott asset! This position is expected to provide a Class A+ level of service to the hotel guests and coworkers alike. Under the supervision of the Chief Facilities Engineering Manager, will assist with the general maintenance of the entire assigned property, and other assets as required.

Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and repair duties on the entire hotel and its grounds. Maintenance tasks including: HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, furniture, kitchen equipment, outside asset envelope, guest rooms, common areas, landscape, parking lots and walkways. Assist Lead Engineers including those that are trade-specific with repairs and maintenance. Service the hotel's pool, including: testing of water quality, recording test results in logs, adjusting chemicals, and cleaning filters/backwashing. A Certified Pool Operator (CPO) is desired, but we are willing to train. Complete grounds work, maintaining Curb Appeal including but not limited to snow removal, painting, power washing, maintaining waterfalls, and basic landscaping. Move room and office furnishing as the need arises. Maintain records of daily work performed.

* Maintain a professional and courteous manner with all guests, vendors, contractors, and employees. Proper uniform attire is required and provided.

* Demonstrate a work ethic that meets and exceeds FM Global standards and Marriott Brand Standards by responding in a courteous manner to all guest questions, complaints, and or requests. Complete work assigned by the Chief Engineer and the Hotel management, promptly, and in accordance with established policies and procedures.

* Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, city, state and federal guidelines and requirements.

* Provide rotating on call coverage during non-business hours for emergencies

* High school diploma or equivalent

* At least 2 years of facilities and general maintenance experience, including working with commercial building equipment

* Have a good working knowledge of hand tools, gauges, power equipment, and building systems, basic indoor and outdoor repairs

* Ability to follow directions of Lead Engineers. Knowledge of basic carpentry and plumbing. OSHA training on safety and compliance helpful but not required.

* Solid interpersonal skills; comfortable interacting with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders

* Work a set schedule with flexibility when required due to weather events, booked events, co-workers' usage of sick and vacation time, and as requested by the Chief Engineer. This position includes weekends and holidays as the hotel operates 24 hours a day, every day of the year.

The hiring range for this position is $23.75-$34.11/hour USD. The final salary offer will vary based on individual education, skills, and experience.
