Location: Salem,IN, USA
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for executing preventive maintenance and performing routine troubleshooting and repair of equipment and facilities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Provides Level 1 electrical and mechanical maintenance support for plant facilities and equipment.
* Responsible for completing work consistent with local, state and national codes and regulations.
* Follows all safety guidelines and uses the required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
* Fabricates electrical and mechanical equipment for the plant as required.
* Responsible for relocation of manufacturing equipment and necessary utilities. Includes working with contractors and internal execution of those changes.
* Responsible for completing work orders as assigned.
* Responsible for auditing and signoff of operator PM manuals.
* Expected to be a team player and share responsibilities with other maintenance team members.
* Responsible for requesting the purchase of all supplies or parts required to support the plant operations.
* Performs proper preventive maintenance as required on any equipment and facilities as assigned.
* Documents necessary information as required for preventive maintenance system and other systems or program requirements.
* Responsible for keeping work area and equipment clean and well organized.
* Supports the Vision and Guiding Principles and other policies of Kimball International and National Office Furniture.
* Follows and supports the Quality system.
* Supports our Environmental Management System (EMS).

* A technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance or equivalent is desirable.
* Able to write legibly and read and comprehend required documents.
* Able to accomplish required math.
* Basic knowledge on use of computers is desirable
