POSITION SUMMARY:
F&M Bank strives to create an atmosphere where customers, vendors and employees can perform to the best of their ability. This includes providing a clean safe secure and efficient area from which to interact. Communication of needs and established timelines between technician and staff help establish expectations.
Maintenance Technicians are responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing building operations and services, preserving the good condition of infrastructure and ensure that facilities are safe and well-functioning for their assigned region. Technician will be responsible to optimize use of space and equipment while keeping costs for maintenance down.
OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE:
* Oversee all aspects of facilities and grounds.
* Coordinate with other maintenance techs and supervisor for best use of time and resources.
* Communicate with the head of retail in the office and regional CRB and the head of retail to ensure lawn care, landscaping, and snow removal services are provided at each of their offices.
* Help our customers and employees realize their best lives.
* Maintain a constant relationship with regional CRB and head of retail in each office so maintenance can function in conjunction with retail operations.
* In regions with a loan production office, also work with market leader of location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Assist in any emergency repairs to facilities or grounds.
* Inspect buildings and grounds to be proactive with any needs before they arise including any and all preventative maintenance on HVAC system, generators, etc.
* Supervise any renovations or additions as needed and work with all vendors on site.
* Ensure restrooms are clean and supplied as well as keeping all areas of the office clean and safe including parking lots free of snow and ice.
* Deliver as necessary to and from main office and operations center to individual offices.
* Change light bulbs and ballast as needed.
* Assist to maintain vehicles, lawn mowers, snow equipment, ATM trailers, and other trailers.
* Build, modify, move, and repair furniture.
* Collect and dispose of trash, follow guidelines for collection, shred, and storage of good trash.
* In regions where we have nontraditional customers, keep area around hitching posts clean.
* Keep supervisor informed of any needs or issues as they arise.
* Where services are not outsourced or in between visits- Cleaning: sweep, mop, scrub, clean carpet, upholstery, and furniture as needed.
* Assist with the renovation/ remodeling of buildings; plaster and drywall repair; and painting of building structures, as able to.
* Wash windows as needed.
* Ensure that the lawns are mowed and fertilized, plant and maintain flower beds, irrigate and maintain irrigation system(s).
* Keep records of preventative maintenance performed and schedule of when next to be done- keep inventory of building supplies.
* May be asked to track use of bank equipment, such as grills, firetrucks, etc. and to assist with special events as needed.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have good mechanical skills and some electrical and plumbing experience.
* Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
* Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
* Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
* Ability to pass a background check.

* As generally applicable to F&M Bank and commensurate with these job functions, this job role includes accountabilities for following Bank policies and related procedures, as well as regulatory requirements involving federal and state laws, regulations, and related guidance.
* Compliance with Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), including accurate completion of Currency Transaction Reports (CTR) when applicable, Anti-Money Laundering Act (AML), Office of Foreign Asset Control (OFAC) and the USA PATRIOT Act. Adhere to Customer Identification, Customer Due Diligence and reporting of suspicious activities to the BSA Department.
