Pay: $22-$28 per hour Shift: 10 pm-6 am As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of plant machinery, equipment, and auxiliaries to ensure they remain in optimal working condition. This role requires a strong background in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluidic repairs, along with the ability to work on new construction operations and equipment layout changes. Responsibilities:
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fluidic repairs and installations.
  • Fabricate parts like shafts, brackets, and other components for plant equipment.
  • Work from drawings, sketches, machine manuals, and oral instructions to complete tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical issues using precision instruments.
  • Perform general maintenance, including pipe fitting, machining, and troubleshooting complex machinery.
  • Rebuild and maintain extrusion equipment and other plant machinery.
  • Conduct periodic inspections and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
  • Diagnose and remedy faulty operations or malfunctions in machines.
  • Keep detailed records of repairs, maintenance, and materials used.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 10 years machining experience, with state-approved journeyman papers preferred.
  • Expertise in fabricating, repairing, or installing components such as forming or guide rolls, shafts, bushings, sprockets, chains, and power transmission parts.
  • Strong ability to read and interpret machine blueprints and assembly drawings.
  • Experience with manual machining equipment and the use of precision measuring tools.
  • Ability to lead projects and collaborate with others in a team environment.
  • Previous machine building experience is a plus.
