ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSEssential duties may include but are not limited to the following:
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs in 50-75 restaurants. (e.g., ice machine, water heaters, misting systems, etc.)
- Tailor preventative maintenance schedules of assigned systems to ensure safe, efficient, and effective operation of area restaurants; outline specific maintenance schedules on an individual restaurant basis in order to most effectively lower maintenance costs
- Educate managers and other restaurant employees on how to maintain and troubleshoot basic issues
- Follow up on facility maintenance practices and procedures and report any issues.
- Provide the Operations Team with brief recaps of what was accomplished during their visit
- Serve as liaison between restaurants and contractors on assigned systems/items when warranty issues arise.
- Provide field support and communication relating to the companys initiatives
- Assist with communication of contractor deficiencies on re-investment or repair projects
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking kitchen equipment
- Communicate status updates for part order(s) and repairs with corporate office and store
- Complete service calls accurately and timely
- Audit truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked
- Perform intermediate-level equipment and accessory installations
- Survey safety devices and equipment on a regular basis
- Manage and retain proper equipment, parts inventory, and tools on service vehicle while keeping items in a safe condition for the respective level of service
- Request equipment, parts, and supplies for the purpose of maintaining inventory level and ensure that necessary tools are available to complete the necessary repair/installation
- Produce timely and detailed service reports to accurately reflect service call conditions
- Operate vehicles in a safe manner -TRAVEL REQUIREMENTUp to 75% requiredQUALIFICATIONS
- Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to converse with customers and all level management at various locations
- Ability to multi-task and balance many different projects at one time
- Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on approach to all work and projects
- Problem-solving skills throughout complex projects
- Must have good penmanship, neat, and proficient with paperwork
- Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and, service foodservice equipment
- Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus
- Good driving record required
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. -EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE GUIDELINES
- Education: High school diploma/GED required; OR equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in commercial kitchen repair -STANDARD HOURSMonday Friday; some weekend and night travel required8:00 AM 5:00 PM; standard hours vary weekly; availability expected during store operating hoursRequired qualifications:
