Brief Summary of Position Purpose:
A Cleaveland price Maintenance Technician will be in charge of performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on all building and facility equipment and fixtures. These duties include minor plumbing and HVAC repairs, machine inspections along with repairs, pest control, landscaping and inspecting the building to confirm safety standards and scheduling major repairs to necessary apparatus. Additionally, the performance of a variety of construction duties around the facility, including tasks that may require carpentry work-such as adding or moving offices, and painting.
Work may be conducted indoors or outdoors, at varying heights and depths, and may require the use of ladders, fork trucks, man lifts, and other maintenance equipment
.
Essential Functions:
* Conduct routine inspections and maintenance tasks within and around the facility to ensure the ongoing operation of equipment and systems.
* Execute a wide range of assigned tasks related to electrical, mechanical, plumbing, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, carpentry, painting, and other construction or maintenance responsibilities. This includes repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, and building fixtures.
* Continuously identify and address safety hazards to maintain a secure work environment. Proactively take measures to prevent accidents and incidents.
* Ensure that all maintenance and repair work is carried out accurately, safely, and within specified timeframes. Prioritize tasks based on urgency and potential impact on operations.
* Ensure that all work practices are fully compliant with OSHA and ISO standards, adhering to relevant regulations and industry best practices.
* Utilization of required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and task-specific tools and equipment by the maintenance team. This includes conducting regular safety equipment checks.
* Prioritization, work allocation, and ensuring efficiency and productivity. Collaborate with team members to address technical challenges and provide guidance (when applicable) on repairs and maintenance tasks.
* Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe work environment. Ensure organization of tools, equipment, and materials in designated storage areas. Establish maintenance work areas are well-organized and safe for all employees.
* Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, including work completed, parts used, and any potential issues identified. Prepare regular reports on maintenance operations and equipment status.
* Collaborate with external vendors and contractors as needed for specialized maintenance or repair tasks. Ensure that vendors meet the company's standards and compliance requirements.
* Actively seek opportunities for process improvement, cost reduction, and efficiency enhancement in the maintenance department. Propose and implement improvements where necessary.
* Maintain and monitor the inventory of spare parts and supplies to ensure the availability of critical components for repairs and maintenance.
Demonstrated Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
* General knowledge of manufacturing environment hazards/MSDS.
* Proficient knowledge of building systems such as plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
* Ability to identify issues and potential hazards to help determine what repairs are needed.

Qualifications
Credentials, certifications & Industry-Specific Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Plumbing, carpentry or electrical experience required. Related certifications a plus.
* Ability to obtain and maintain certification to operate fork trucks, man lifts and other maintenance equipment that requires specific training and competence.
* Valid PA driver's license, or equivalent.
