Job Description:

ITS is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician in the Charlotte area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in maintaining and troubleshooting equipment in a fast-paced production environment. A solid understanding of VFDs, PLCs, and HMIs is essential, with programming experience being a plus. This role will involve diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical, and control system issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance. Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and control systems.
  • Troubleshoot and repair Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs).
  • Conduct diagnostics and repairs on production machinery to resolve electrical and mechanical issues.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize equipment performance and reliability.
  • Utilize blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to identify issues and determine solutions.
  • Document maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment efficiency and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Required Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with VFDs, PLCs, and HMIs.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Experience with electrical and mechanical systems, including hydraulics and pneumatics.
  • Familiarity with lockout/tagout (LOTO) and other safety procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
